200 million animals are killed for food around the world every day.

But being a vegan is more than simply not eating hamburgers. Truly embracing the lifestyle includes behavioral shifts such as not using leather goods, not hunting for sport, and not using cosmetics that have been tested on animals. Did you know that the illegal wildlife trade may put nearly 9,000 land-based species at risk of extinction?

Even if going full-vegan is not a choice you can make, there are ways to move your own personal needle towards a more plant-based life. And choosing to do so could very well bring health benefits, positive environmental impacts, and important ecological protections.
